5. International data transfers
5.1 Printix operates from three (3) data centers around the globe; North America, the European Economic Area (EEA) and the Asia Pacific region (APAC). A Printix Home (tenant) will default to the closest data center from where the customer initially creates an account.
5.2 If a user is traveling to different regions on the globe, the user and the associated tracking data will always be transferred back to its Home Data Center.
5.3 Printix records the following non-sensitive personal information about a user: first name, last name, email address, IP address and a list of the jobs that have been printed. The document title can be anonymized.
- with Printix own email authentication, user credentials (username and password) are saved.
- during user validation, with active directory or LDAP, user credentials are transported by Printix (encrypted) and the username is saved.
- during user validation, with Azure Active Directory, Google or other federated identity services, Printix records username after authentication but does not record or transport passwords.
5.4. “Print via the cloud” and “Print Anywhere” are optional printing features that can be selected by the user (system administrator). When enabled, these functionalities can transfer print job data, encrypted over the Internet, to and from the nearest regional data center.
5.5 You expressly agree to the transfers of personal information described in this Section 5.
6. Retaining personal information
6.1 Personal information that we process for any purpose or purposes shall not be kept for longer than is necessary for that purpose or those purposes.
6.2 Notwithstanding the other provisions of this Section 6, we will retain documents (including electronic documents) containing personal data:
- to the extent that we are required to do so by law;
- if we believe that the documents may be relevant to any ongoing or prospective legal proceedings; and
- in order to establish, exercise or defend our legal rights (including providing information to others for the purposes of fraud prevention and reducing credit risk).
